The Montana Disaster & Emergency Services (MT DES) Training and Exercise Program ensures opportunities are available to enhance disaster preparedness. Professional development and disaster simulations allow the emergency management community to understand how non-profit, public, and private response partners work together in disasters.

Testing response plans through exercise validates strengths and identifies shortfalls. As a result, plans, policies and procedures are identified as areas to improve prior to real-world incidents.
