Emergency Management Coordinators' Workshop
Register for the Coordinators’ Workshop
May 16 – 18, 2018
Please register no later than Friday, April 20th.
This 2 ½ day workshop has been developed specifically for County and Tribal Emergency Managers/Coordinators across the State of Montana.
Whether you are new to emergency management, learning the basic concepts, or an experienced Coordinator who would like a refresher, this workshop is for you.
This workshop will include discussions on obtaining emergency declarations, mutual aid partners, and what State DES can do to help. You will hear success stories and good practices from other emergency managers around the state and have open discussions with others who may share your same concerns.
Participants in the full workshop will be awarded certificates for each of these trainings:
ICS 100 – Introduction to the Incident Command System (ICS)
ICS 200.B – ICS for Single Resource and Initial Action Incidents
ICS 700 – Introduction to the National Incident Management System (NIMS)
ICS 800 – Introduction to the National Response Framework (NRF)
The workshop begins on Wednesday, May 16th, at 8:00 AM at Fort Harrison, home of MT DES and the State Emergency Coordination Center (SECC). Lunch will be provided on Wednesday and Thursday. Workshop will end at noon on Friday.
