Resources to find and recovery assistance
Disasters can affect many parts of the community, including personal property and businesses. One of the biggest assets in recovering from losses in a disaster is your insurance company and providing your insurance with timely and complete documentation of your damages and losses.
You can also talk with your local emergency management office to find organizations that are providing local assistance. A listing of the local emergency management offices can be found at: http://readyandsafe.mt.gov/Emergency/DES-Coordinators-Map
If you are personally affected the Red Cross may provide shelter, food and mental health services. All Red Cross disaster services are provided free of charge. They are made possible by voluntary donations of time and money from the American people. If you have been affected by a disaster and require Red Cross services, call 1-800-ARC-MONT. http://www.redcross.org/local/montana/programs-services/disaster-services
