Course Description:
Describe how the NIMS Command and Management component supports the management of expanding incidents.
Describe the incident/event management process for supervisors and expanding incidents as prescribed by the Incident Command System (ICS).
Implement the incident management process on a simulated expanding incident.
Develop an Incident Action Plan for a simulated incident.

Target Audience:
The course is designed to bring together stakeholders from the university and the surrounding community. Participants from the university may include campus public safety, Emergency Operations Center staff, campus administration, campus events staff, student life, and many more.  Participants from the local community may include local emergency management, fire services, Emergency Medical Services, local law enforcement and public health agencies.

The pre-requisites for this course are IS 100, IS 200, IS 700, and IS 800. All of these courses are offered online.
