SERC Meeting Agenda's and Minutes
The SERC was established to:
- Implement the provisions of the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA), also known as SARA Title III.
- Designate and support Local Emergency Planning Committees (LEPCs).
- Support emergency planning, response and preparedness activities.
- Facilitate cooperation between citizens, industry, environmental and other public-interest organizations, and all levels of government.

In response to concerns for community safety around chemical facilities, Congress enacted the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA). Montana's SERC and Local Emergency Planning Committees (LEPCs) are responsible for EPCRA implementation.
